A diehard Green Day fan gave the popular punk rock band a run for their money after he strapped on frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s guitar and showed off some serious skills during a concert at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.
The fan, who wore a brightly colored mop of hair and a Green Day t-shirt, sang and even did a jump kick as he played guitar with the band during a rendition of their smash hit “When I Come Around.”
Green Day — who just released a new album, Revolution Radio, for the first time in four years — is doing a round of small venue shows this fall before hitting the road for a North American tour in March of 2017.
