As a busy working mom, British reality TV star Sam Faiers is learning to do it all — and on Wednesday, that meant breastfeeding her 10-month-old son on live television.
The former The Only Way is Essex star, 25, appeared on ITV’s This Morning and nursed her son Paul during the interview
“I’m so sorry about this,” she said, after host Holly Willoughby explained Faiers had “only just got her opportunity to feed baby Paul.”
“When it happens, it has to happen,” Willoughby joked.
Host Phillip Schofield supported her as well. “We’re perfectly comfortable,” he said.
He also pointed out to viewers that it was Faiers’ choice to cover Paul with a blanket. “Yes, of course,” she confirmed.
The move was met with universal praise from fans of Faiers — and of breastfeeding.
Faiers gave birth to Paul on Dec. 29, 2015, naming him after her boyfriend, Paul Knightley.
This isn’t the first time she’s had to feed during a live interview.
On Wednesday’s episode of her new show, The Mummy Diaries, Fairs calmed a hungry and fussy Paul by nursing him.
“Juggling work and being a mum, you can’t be off the ball for a second,” she said in a preview clip for the show, posted to her Instagram page.
“Breastfeeding on the job,” she joked. “Baby needs feeding, I just feed him.”
