Amber Tamblyn Reveals She Was Sexually Assaulted After Donald Trump’s Lewd Comments

3 minute read

Amber Tamblyn is opening up about her firsthand encounter with sexual assault in wake of the recently surfaced hot mic audio exposing Donald Trump talking about groping and having sex with women.

“I need to tell you a story. With the love and support of my husband, I’ve decided I need to share it publicly,” she began a lengthy Instagram caption alongside a photo of the 70-year-old business mogul planting a kiss on Miss Universe 2012 winner Olivia Culpo.

The 33-year-old actress revealed that once while enjoying a concert in Hollywood with friends, her ex-boyfriend showed up and sexually assaulted her.

“He’s a big guy, taller than me,” Tamblyn wrote. “The minute he saw me, he picked me up with one hand by my hair and with his other hand, he grabbed me under my skirt by my vagina— my p—-?— and lifted me up off the floor, literally, and carried me, like something he owned, like a piece of trash, out of the club. His fingers were practically inside of me, his other hand wrapped tightly around my hair. I screamed and kicked and cried.”

She continued, “That part of my body, which the current Presidential Nominee of the United States Donald Trump recently described as something he’d like to grab a woman by, was bruised from my ex-boyfriend’s violence for at least the next week.”

Luckily, Tamblyn’s friends and the man’s brothers were able to stop him, but not before the ex tore off a necklace she was wearing that belonged to her grandmother.

She says she could not remember the rest of the night.

Although Tamblyn admits that she’s afraid for her parents to know her story, she felt it was necessary to share.

“To this day I remember that moment. I remember the shame,” she said. “I am afraid my mom will read this post. I’m even more afraid that my father could ever know this story. That it would break his heart. I couldn’t take that. But you understand, don’t you? I needed to tell a story.”

Tamblyn concluded the post with, “Enjoy the debates tonight.”

Days before sharing her horrific story, Tamblyn retweeted former presidential hopeful Mitt Romney for slamming Trump’s treatment of women.

“I never thought I’d retweet Mitt Romney without some sarcastic comment added. But here you go. Just this,” she tweeted.
