MØ—the Danish singer who is featured on songs like the summer’s late-breaking hit “Cold Water” and the inescapable “Lean On”—has a new single, “Drums,” that will be hard to get out of your head. The percussion-forward electro-pop track follows in the footsteps of fellow Scandinavian rising stars like Zara Larsson and Tove Lo, who have been breaking through with their consistently catchy hooks.
“Dance to the beat of your drum / to the beat of your heart,” she sings over and over. It’s not a complicated chorus, but it has an easy appeal. MØ is a favorite of EDM mastermind Diplo, so expect to see much more of her free-spirited style (and signature blonde braided hairstyle) in the future.
