By this point, Jennifer Aniston is a pro at being an A-list celebrity. Her husband, Justin Theroux, thinks so, too. In an interview with the U.K.’s Sunday Tines, Theroux opens up about being married to Aniston and how proud he is of her for having “lived through a lot of bulls–t.”
Aniston has inevitably been dragged into the Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie divorce headlines, but Theroux praises her sense of calm in the midst of the media attention. “Many people would have crumbled under some of the stresses that have been put on her,” Theroux said. “I’m very proud of her for that, for the way she handles herself.”
“So in a weird way it’s an honor to stand behind her,” he added.
Theroux went on to call Aniston “amazing” and “a proper badass.”
While many women are identified as the wives of their husband, Theroux doesn’t mind being thought of as the opposite: Mr. Jennifer Aniston. He told the Times that the nickname “doesn’t really get under my skin. It’s just one of those things that’s a shorthand for describing who I am.”
