There are a couple of rules in life: Bacon can be used for anything and don’t try to out-lie an actor. Emily Blunt proved that maxim when she faced off against Jimmy Fallon in a round of “Box of Lies” on Monday night’s The Tonight Show.
Fallon challenged the Girl on a Train star to a match of the game where they take turns trying to stump each other about the items in their mystery boxes. While Fallon mostly tried not to laugh, Blunt quickly deployed all of her acting chops in the challenge. Of course, as every actor knows, the best acting involves a grain of truth. When Blunt’s first box contained a record player with a pepperoni pizza spinning on it, Blunt decided to simply stick with the truth and to honestly describe the peculiar item in front of her. It worked.
“You lie!” Fallon exclaimed, but he was wrong. “You suck!” Blunt laughed, showing the spinning pizza and setting the bar very, very high for the rest of the game. Watch above.
