IKEA Australia has just created an unusual hotel in Sydney.
The Swedish furniture chain has transformed a ferry parked in Sydney’s harbor into a houseboat, fully outfitted with IKEA products, of course. In addition to giving guests the chance to finally sleep in the furniture megastore, the ferry comes with beautiful views of the Australian coastline and the Sydney Opera House all tucked into a sleekly designed space filled with Scandinavian charm.
The ferry is open to guests, but the only way to book a night at the houseboat (looking at you IKEA fan, you’re Kanye West) is via a contest run through Ikea Australia’s Facebook page. For a chance to sleep on this ferry, all you have to do is share a photo, video, or a story that tells Ikea what it is you love about your life at home. The contest ends October 5th 2016.
