Game of Thrones took home the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series for the second consecutive year Sunday night, but according to Emilia Clarke, the HBO drama’s upcoming seventh season is even better than its sixth.
When asked if she could confirm costar Maisie Williams’s recent tweet that “s—t gets REAL” during a red carpet interview with TVLine, the 29-year-old actress — who plays Daenerys Targaryen — briefly spoke about what viewers can expect when the show returns next summer. “Confirm, confirm, confirm — it’s ridiculous,” she said. “They topped it…Last season’s battle [of the bastards] was ridiculous…There’s another battle that’s epic.”
Sophie Turner — who plays Sansa Stark — also hinted at what’s to come, revealing how she felt while reading the season seven scripts. “I was actually speechless,” she told E!. “This season is unbelievable and I think fans are going to be really satisfied…It’s crazy.”
