Apple recently gave its Messages app a major overhaul by adding stickers, animations, compatibility with services like OpenTable and Fandango, and much more. The capabilities are available on iPhones and iPads running iOS 10, software Apple released for its mobile devices on Sept. 13.
Stickers have long been popular on messaging apps such as LINE and Facebook Messenger. But this is the first time Apple is making them available for the iPhone’s default texting app.
Stickers don’t come preinstalled in the iPhone’s keyboard; you’ll have to download them from the newly launched iMessage App Store. In addition to sticker packs, you’ll also find mini-games and other services designed to work within Messages. The App Store already offers an array of stickers that include recognizable characters such as Mickey Mouse and Pac-Man to generic animal-themed designs and stickers made by brands.
Check out the steps in the video above to get started with stickers in iMessage.
