Move over Clark Kent – it’s Supermom!
Oklahoma sports medicine physician Dr. Megan Meier posted a photo of herself on the job at a high school football game and the post went viral. Not only was pregnant Meier treating a student, but she was also carrying.
“I captioned the photo, ‘Sports Medicine Doctor Mom–this is what happens when you are 35 weeks pregnant, husband leaves town for the weekend, childcare for 3yo falls through, and you have a game to cover!’ ” the pregnant doctor and mom wrote on Facebook about the photo she submitted to a group of physician moms.
Meier went on to express her shock in how much attention her multi-tasking received from all over the world.
“I am overwhelmed by all the positive feedback and support the members of this group have given,” she wrote. “I really believe that you can have it all and find a great balance to a multi-faceted career and life. However, it takes a lot of hard work and improvisation at times.”
Meier told TODAY that she works two jobs as both mom to 3-year-old Kate (and her baby on the way!) and as a physician.
“I knew the sideline wasn’t safe for a toddler,” she said. “So in a pinch, I decided to grab our old Ergo baby carrier and strap my daughter on my back and get to work.”
