It’s a good day to be a Lady Gaga fan. Besides releasing her first new pop single in years, “Perfect Illusion,” the Mother Monster also announced an upcoming Florence Welch collaboration, and then sang a mini-duet with none other than Baby Spice herself (also known as Emma Bunton).
Gaga was doing the morning radio rounds in the UK on Friday to premiere her new song, which allowed the stars to literally align so that she and Bunton — who’s a radio host at Heart FM — would find each other and croon a few cheeky lines of the Spice Girls’ 1996 classic “2 Become 1.” Bunton captured the moment and posted it to Instagram, giving us an up-close-and-personal glimpse into Gaga’s very flirty a cappella line delivery.
Bunton is in the midst of her own musical relaunch as well, having recently announced the re-formation of a Spice Girls trio.
