Chelsea Handler: ‘Being Childless and Alone Are Everything They’re Cracked Up To Be’

Chelsea Handler has already spoken out about her two abortions and her love of being single. The comedian posted a video to her Facebook and Instagram feeds Thursday delivering a PSA about why she loves being childless.

In the PSA, Handler sits at her dining room table with a cocktail nearby and dressed in what looks like lingerie. She jokes, “I’m here to tell you that being childless and alone are everything they’re cracked up to be.”

Handler distinguishes between the terms “childless” and “child free,” the latter being the term she dislikes the most. It “sounds like a food restriction, like gluten- or dairy-free. I don’t want children in my food any more than I want them in my home,” she says.

As she fake chokes back tears, Handler says, “Once you have a child, you never get to make another choice again…You can be childless and alone. You just have to stick to your guns.”
