Selfie queen Kim Kardashian West has a combined Twitter and Instagram audience of 129.7 million social media users – and says she is behind every tweet and post that is shared.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star revealed to Vanity Fair that she writes all of the posts that are published on her verified accounts.
“I have felt overwhelmed at times, especially when I’m with the kids. I like to give [North and Saint] my full attention and not be on my phone, so I do feel like I want to post and get busy sometimes,” she told the publication.
But although motherhood is her first priority, she does dedicate time to connecting with her audiences.
“I do take the time to take a second for myself to post and see what other people are posting,” Kardashian West, 35, said. “I could never see me hiring someone.”
So why does she opt for crafting and posting her own tweets and images when she could hire someone to do the job?
“For me, it wouldn’t seem authentic. Because it’s all about me, I couldn’t imagine trying to find someone to do that for me,” she explained.
Although she prefers to post on her own, she did reveal that she consults her friends and family on their opinion before hitting the “publish” button.
“I will ask friends what they think of a certain picture, but I am so picky when it comes to my image. I want to be in full control,” she said. “I will send two pictures to my friends or assistant and ask which they like better. Just tonight, I posted a pic of my friend Larsa [Pippen] for her birthday and sent three pictures to my assistant and asked which she liked best because I couldn’t decide. I love asking caption advice too – sometimes I draw a blank.”
