Barb Holland returns from The Upside Down in a hilarious Tonight Show sketch starring the Stranger Things kids Wednesday night.
Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), all play their indifferent characters so well it could be a deleted scene. Except this one had Fallon, forever your idiot boyfriend, as a convincing Steve Harrington.
Speaking for everyone who took issue with the fact that the show treated missing Barb like she was a fallen penny not worth picking up, Barb (A.D. Miles) makes the kids pay with a curse-filled rant. “No search party for Barb! No fake corpse stuffed with cotton for Barb!” she screams.
But she’s only alive because she traded places with Hawkins, V.I.K. (very important kid,) Will Byers. Happily, not only does the late night host do Barb justice, he does the show justice with the satire it deserved. Hilariously, Eleven is too freaked out to enjoy the nerdy games, and even in an extreme situation, Dustin is still correcting people.
