In its latest honest trailer released Tuesday, YouTube channel Screen Junkies takes on The Jungle Book.
Aimed at the Jon Favreau-directed Disney movie starring Neel Sethi, Bill Murray, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o and other A-listers pretending to be fake animals. It’s “a winning combination of the Lion King, a Ben Kingsley nature documentary and a kid-friendly version of The Revenant,” the voiceover teases. The narrator also reveals that he couldn’t help but be impressed by the writing and visuals, or as he put it, the movie is “way better than it deserved to be.”
The parody even features clips of the cast recording the voiceovers, including Christopher Walken singing the new version of “I Want To Be Like You.”
