Three children, including a 3-month-0ld baby, and a man died early Tuesday after a fire broke out in a Chicago apartment building, officials said.
The blaze spread through the second and third floors of the three-story complex about 1:30 a.m., causing several people to leap from the building, the Chicago Tribune reports. Police said they received reports that someone had set fire to the courtyard building, according to the newspaper.
Authorities later found the bodies of two children and a man near where the fire started, although their ages are unclear. A 3-month-old baby died after being found next to an injured man who had jumped from the building, the Tribune reports.
Police said a man suspected of starting the fire has been taken into custody, according to NBC Chicago.
