Henry Winkler’s run as Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli on Happy Days may have ended in 1984, but he clearly still has a soft spot for the character. The 70-year-old actor shared a photo on Twitter Tuesday of himself posing with the “Bronze Fonz,” Milwaukee’s tribute to the beloved leather-clad greaser that was unveiled in 2008.
The picture — which shows Winkler smiling with his arm around the statue’s shoulder — is captioned, “OH YES I visit when I’m in Milwaukee,” and has already been retweeted over 1,200 times to date.
Winkler also recently honored the late Garry Marshall — creator of Happy Days — on social media, tweeting “Rest In Peace .. Thank you for my professional life. Thank you for your loyalty, friendship and generosity,” following the director’s death in July.
