Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t the only one to shed a tear at Portugal’s stunning defeat of France on Sunday in the final Euro 2016 match.
As fans of Portugal’s soccer team erupted in celebration over the country’s first ever Euro championship title from Lisbon to Macau, one little boy in a Portugal shirt paused to console a weeping French fan on the street.
Footage shows a boy reach up to grab the crying man’s hand. The man then responds with a smile and kisses the boy on the head. Just before parting ways, the two soccer fans hug.
Think of it as a victory for all that is soccer.
