The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has soared to $454 million, making it the seventh-largest lottery jackpot in history. And it’s still rising.
So far, it’s the third-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history. There is a 1 in 259 million chance of winning, which means there’s a better chance of winning Mega Millions than Powerball, which has a 1 in 292 million chance, NBC News reports.
The winning five numbers and the Mega Ball number will be drawn at 11 p.m. ET Tuesday.
No one has won a Mega Millions jackpot since March 8.
In December 2013, a $648 million Mega Millions prize was split between two tickets. The highest Mega Millions jackpot in history — $656 million — was won in 2012.
