See the Special Effects That Made Game of Thrones’ ‘Battle of the Bastards’ So Epic

The showdown between Ramsay Bolton and Jon Snow, dubbed the “Battle of the Bastards,” has been called one of Game of Thrones’ best episodes and now you can see the magic behind the mayhem.

A montage released by the Australian visual effects studio behind the episode, iLoura, shows just how incredibly detailed the battle sequence was.

From the sea of bodies that Jon Snow gets buried under to the mounted cavalry clashing in the center of the battlefield—much of the battle for Winterfell was computer generated.
