She may only be 10 years old, but Lyanna Mormont has proven herself a force to be reckoned with on Game of Thrones. And in real life, Bella Ramsay — who plays the new fan-favorite — is no different. During a recent interview with USA Today, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) shared an amazing story about the first day she, Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) worked with Ramsay.
“Oh my God, Bella is amazing. Bella showed us all up,” she told USA Today. “I think she was 12 when we shot with her. The first day we shot with her I think it was me, Kit and Liam. It was the scene where we go and visit her and try and persuade her to give us her army. Kit, Liam and I showed up not knowing any of our lines and Bella knew all of them, she had the accent down. She was ready to go! And we were supposed to be the professional ones on set and the adults. And she really showed us up because she is amazing and such a delight.”
Turner also spoke about her character’s relationship with Lyanna, explaining that the young ruler’s fearless nature reminds Sansa of her little sister, Arya. “I just really love the fact that we have this character in there that kind of reminds Sansa a bit of Arya,” she said. “I think it maybe it could be a relationship that they really play on. I would love to see that play out. I feel like Sansa would be very protective of her, because she definitely reminds her of her younger sister. And it’s also just awesome having this little ruler. This tiny little ruler.”
