The Dow Jones lost 600 points, the United Kingdom is expected to lose tens of thousands of jobs and the immigration status of millions has been threatened. But comedian Ricky Gervais says he can show why Brexit makes no difference.
The Office star turned serious in a tweet to suggest that the British vote to leave the European Union will leave fundamental political dynamics intact.
“Joking aside, Brexit won’t make any difference,” he said. “The rich will still be rich, the poor will still be poor, and we’ll still blame foreigners.”
Sure, but the rich may less rich and the poor a little poorer.
