10 Amazing Behind-the-Scenes Photos of the Game of Thrones Cast

2 minute read

While it’s hard to imagine the actors of Game of Thrones doing anything but playing our favorite residents of Westeros and Essos, they do in fact have lives outside the show. However, over the course of the past six seasons, they’ve had to spend a lot of time decked out in their Thrones‘ costumes, meaning there have also been plenty of opportunities to blur the lines between reality and fantasy.

That being said, here are 10 of the best photos of the cast doing normal things behind the scenes of the HBO drama.

Just because her babies are dragons doesn’t mean Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) shouldn’t get some Mother’s Day recognition.

Take a good long look at this photo because it’s probably the last time you’ll ever see the Lannister siblings getting along so well.

Myrcella (Nell Tiger Free) may have been in love with Trystane (Toby Sebastian), but she was less than impressed with his swordsmanship. Unfortunately, so were the Sand Snakes.

Maybe Theon’s (Alfie Allen) real problem with the Starks was that he lost all his money to them in a game of poker.

Apparently, cameras are also fooled by Melisandre’s (Carice Van Houten) magical age-defying necklace.

Considering what we now know of Hodor’s (Kristian Nairn) cruel fate, this may have been an easier way for the gentle giant to go out.

Although a smiling Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) used to be cause to worry that one of your favorite characters was about to meet a barbaric end, this picture is still pretty heartwarming.

Remember when Arya (Maisie Williams) and Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) were both happy-go-lucky kids whose entire family was still alive? Yeah, neither do we.

Even Khaleesi can’t help but have a crush on Ryan Gosling.

Seems like investing in some umbrellas would do the men of the Night’s Watch a world of good.

“No One,” the eighth episode of Game of Thrones‘ sixth season airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EST on HBO.
