A Hawaii woman has been charged with killing her twin sister by driving an SUV off a 200-ft. cliff in Maui last month.
Alexandria Duval, 37, was seen arguing with her sister, Anastasia Duval, in the Ford Explorer shortly before it accelerated and plummeted over a sea cliff, according to court documents, CBS reported. Anastasia was killed in the crash, while Alexandria was hurt.
Alexandria pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder on Monday. She was arrested Friday as she tried to leave the state for New York, police said. Her defense attorney said she was heading to her sister’s funeral—not attempting to flee.
The sisters also went by Alison and Ann Dadow, the AP reports.
