LIFE Father’s Day Print Sale: Own an Iconic Photograph From the Archives

Father’s Day this year falls on June 18. If that reminder induces a frantic urge to run to the nearest tie store, perhaps allow yourself a moment’s reconsideration. Rather than adorning his neck just as the summer heat kicks in, consider adorning his home or office with something that will never go out of fashion: an iconic photograph from the LIFE collection, now on sale for a limited time in the TIME Shop.

Yale Joel’s image of New Hampshire Little Leaguers awaiting their uniforms in 1954 captures the super-serious business of boys trying on manhood as they prepare to take to the diamond. Loomis Dean’s photo of the inter-species friendship between a duck named Donald and a dog named Trigger proves that some love transcends even nature’s expectations. And Ed Clark captures the intimate joy in a father’s gaze at his baby girl—a love so universal that it hardly registers, for an instant, that its subjects are a future president and his daughter.

In addition to the available collection of LIFE classics, five photographs from TIME and Sports Illustrated are newly available for purchase.

From Monday through June 12, use the promo code DAD30 to claim 30% off an 11×14-inch photographic print produced on archival quality paper. Each of the LIFE prints shown in the gallery above retails for $74.95 before the discount and includes the story behind the photograph and a certificate of authenticity. International shipping is now available.
