Last night’s Met Gala had no shortage of fashion demigods and celebs swanning on the red carpet in looks that ranged from elegant to otherworldly. The event’s tech-inspired theme, “Manus vs. Machina” no doubt helped add an element of boldness to many looks, with many of the high-profile guests taking this as a cue to tap into their robot alter egos.
The futuristic gowns and tuxes weren’t the only buzz-worthy style choices, however — some out of this world accessories also stole the show when it came to the red carpet.
From Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s quirky matching Tamagotchis to Rita Ora’s Lemonade-inspired pin, here are the most noteworthy (and weirdest) things that celebs accessorized with for the Met Gala.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom showed up with matching Tamagotchis and basically redefined #RelationshipGoals.
Zayn Malik’s Versace metal arm plates garnered him comparisons running the gamut from Robo Cop to Mortal Kombat.
Kanye West donned some blue contact lenses for the event
