It’s been more than two decades since Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley first appeared as the bumbling Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone on the BBC cult comedy Absolutely Fabulous. Now, they’re bringing their hard-drinking, fountain of youth-seeking characters to the big screen in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, a project which Saunders, who created the show, has been mulling over for years.
The film’s first trailer finds Edina’s PR agent and Patsy’s magazine editor accidentally shoving Kate Moss to her apparent death while on a quest to book her as a new client. They escape to no less glamorous a fugitive state than the French Riviera—though not before embarrassing run-ins with Jon Hamm and Rebel Wilson. In keeping with the premise of their show, which ran for five seasons, the two decidedly unglamorous ladies continue their spirit journey toward the glamorous life.
Absolutely Fabulous hits theaters July 22.
