Jimmy Kimmel drew a few parallels between the 2016 presidential race and the plot of Captain America: Civil War on Monday, creating a mock trailer for a new movie, named simply America: Civil War.
“Both of them feature former friends who are now enemies,” Kimmel said. “They both feature powerful men and women who are also cartoon characters.”
The trailer features a face-off between Democrat Bernie Sanders and Republican Donald Trump and includes brief appearances by Hillary Clinton and Ben Carson.
“This summer, an all-American idealist faces off against a diabolical billionaire,” the trailer says, before showing Sanders in a Captain America suit opposite Trump as Iron Man, arguing over big money and the status of the American dream.
