The Texas school cop who body-slammed a 12-year-old girl last month was fired Monday, San Antonio school officials said.
In a statement, the San Antonio Independent School District said that while the investigation into the March 29 altercation was continuing, school officials “made the decision to terminate the employment of Officer Joshua Kehm, effective immediately.”
The body-slam was was captured on video,which was posted online and described as “alarming” by Bexar County District Attorney Nico LaHood.
In the clip, Kehm is seen picking up the student, sixth grader Janissa Valdez, and slamming her face-first onto the ground.
