Pope Francis will preside over Easter Vigil prayers at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican on Saturday.
He will also preside over an Easter mass on Sunday, standing on the balcony of the basilica to give the twice-annual “Urbi et Orbi” blessing, which means “for the city and for the world,” the Telegraph reported.
In an Easter ritual earlier this week, Francis washed the feet of asylum seekers at a refugee center near Rome, an effort to further his advocacy about providing shelter to refugees around the world.
Watch Saturday’s vigil live at 3:30 p.m. on this page.
