Amazon’s first daily live show debuts Tuesday night. The 30-minute fashion and beauty series Style Code Live will stream at 9 p.m. ET on weekdays on Amazon’s site for free, Variety reports.
Amazon has been building original content, including Mozart in the Jungle, The Man in the High Castle and the Emmy-winning Transparent, since 2014 to compete with streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. Amazon’s entree into live streaming television could mean other streaming services begin to experiment with live series themselves, from talk shows to variety shows to streaming live sports.
MTV’s Lyndsey Rodrigues, Good Morning America correspondent Rachel Smith and Big Brother star Frankie Grande will host the show. It will include live chat sessions during which viewers can ask the hosts questions in real-time.
