Clinton and Sanders Could Easily Beat Donald Trump, Poll Says

1 minute read

Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders could easy beat Donald Trump come November, according to a new CNN/ORC poll that pits the Republican front runner against his potential Democratic opponents.

Clinton would beat Trump 52 to 44 percent among registered voters—an improvement of her odds since the last CNN/ORC Poll in January—while Sanders would top Trump 57 to 40 percent.

Though support for Sanders tops the Republican candidates’ by wide margins in the poll results, Clinton faces tougher hypothetical competition from the GOP hopefuls. Against Marco Rubio, Clinton garners 47 percent compared to his 50 percent, which is the same split from the January poll. When matched up against Ted Cruz, she nabs 48 percent of poll participants, just short of his 49 percent.

The telephone survey of 920 registered voters from a national of 1,001 adults was conducted between Feb. 24 and 27 and has a margin of error of plus/minus 3 percentage points.
