Lorde paid tribute to the late David Bowie with an emotional rendition of “Life on Mars?” at the 2016 BRIT Awards, held Wednesday night at the O2 arena in London.
His son Duncan Jones seemed to loved her cover of the hit song, tweeting: “Finally found the links to tonight’s Brits. Just… beautiful. Thank you.”
Shortly after the news broke that the rock star had died at age 69 after battling cancer, Lorde was one of the many recording artists who posted a personal remembrance of “Ziggy Stardust” on Facebook: “He was a piece of bright pleated silk we could stretch out or fold up small inside ourselves when we needed to.”
