Ronda Rousey Reveals What Video Game Character She’d Most Like to Play

2 minute read

Ronda Rousey’s film career is burgeoning. She’s already playing the Patrick Swayze-inspired lead character in the upcoming Road House reboot. But what’s her dream role?

The UFC star revealed that if she could play any video game character, it would be Samus Aran of the Metroid and Super Smash Bros. series.

“I’ve always wanted to be Samus. That would be badass,” she told Gamespot. “I love how people found out later that it was a hot chick on the inside. And then most of the day you’re in a suit, so you can just hang out and eat donuts and be the star ofMetroid. I hope they make a movie out of that.”

Samus is an intergalactic bounty hunter who wears a weaponized exoskeleton suit. She’s also one of the preeminent protagonists in video game history.

If the Captain Marvel buzz is a precedent, prepare for myriad Photoshopped images of Rousey as Samus. Rousey expressed interest in playing the Marvel comics hero and shared fan art of her in character last summer. (No one has been cast yet in the role yet.)
