Donald Trump believes he’ll go head-to-head with Hillary Clinton in a general election that will bring out “the greatest turnout in history,” he said Sunday.
The real estate mogul made the prediction several hours after he won South Carolina’s Republican primary and after Clinton celebrated her victory in the Nevada caucuses. “Frankly, if she gets indicted, that’s the only way she’s going to be stopped. I think it’s going to be Hillary and myself,” Trump told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.”
The businessman also predicted he’d “win states that aren’t in play” and “do great” with black voters. “I’ll win states that Republicans don’t even think of,” Trump said. “People are not going to die on the streets of any city or of any place if I’m president. And every time I say it, I get standing ovations from Republicans,” he added. “We have to take care of people.”
