With Beyoncé and Bruno Mars sharing the stage as special guests, it’s safe to say plenty of viewers weren’t tuning in to Coldplay’s Super Bowl 50 halftime show to actually see Coldplay headline the event.
Count Empire actress Taraji P. Henson as one of those people. In a since deleted post on social media, Henson — who was at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., to watch Beyoncé get in “Formation” live — actually mistook Chris Martin and the gang for Maroon 5 before recognizing her mistake.
“YAAAAAAASSSSSS!!! #maroon5 is life to me!!!” she wrote in her first posts. She owned up to the gaffe in a follow-up:
