A high school basketball player in Kentucky made a miracle shot on Friday to win a tied game at the buzzer, before being buried by a crowd of celebrating fans.
The Male High School player, Alex Cook, led his team to a 65-62 home victory over St. Xavier High School, according to the Courier-Journal.
“That’s kind of a once-in-a-lifetime ending,” said Willie Feldhaus, Cook’s coach.
Cook is a contender for Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball, a campaign that has likely been aided by the shot.
