A porn star who has been accused of rape won two “Porn Oscars” at the Adult Video News (AVN) Awards in Las Vegas on Saturday.
James Deen took home awards for best group sex scene and best double penetration sex scene after receiving 33 total nominations, according to AVN. He was accused of rape in November 2015 by his ex-girlfriend and adult film star Stoya, which prompted other women in the industry to come forward with similar allegations, Maxim reports. At least nine female performers have claimed Deen sexually assaulted them both on and off set, according to the magazine.
The porn actor, who was up for “Best Male Performer,” told Maxim that was the only award that mattered. “Male performer of the year—that’s kind of all I care about,” he said Saturday. “I could be nominated for everything else, but that’s the one that always means the most to me. Because it’s the thing that I love to do the most . . . perform.”
