Watching Jake Gyllenhaal and Bradley Cooper Audition for Clueless Is Way Existential

W magazine rounded up four of Hollywoods top actors—Jake Gyllenhaal, Bradley Cooper, Seth Rogen and Paul Dano—to audition for the iconic role of Cher Horowitz in Clueless.

Somewhere out there, Alicia Silverstone is totally buggin’, because these guys just don’t hold a candle to her performance as Cher. But they do their best. Diehard Clueless fans will note that B-Coop correctly pronounces the word “Haitians”—which is not how Cher pronounces it in the film.

“What was unfortunate about reading through this for the first time,” Gyllenhaal says, “was that I realized that I talk like this. Which is a bummer.”
