Just hours before the start of the Golden Globes, host Ricky Gervais dropped the C-word as he shared what was running through his mind in preparation for his anticipated hosting gig.
“Better get dressed and offend some humourless c–s I suppose,” tweeted Gervais with what looks like a selfie of him in bed. Gervais is returning as Golden Globes host this year since his run from 2010-2012.
The tweet marks the beginning of zingers from the comedian to an A-list audience of Globes nominees including Cate Blanchett, Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet during the telecast of the awards show airing live on Sunday night. Gervais told THR that he plans to stay away from jokes that cause “collateral damage” but Donald Trump may get a mention.
