Listen to a Snippet of Kanye West’s New Song

2 minute read

After a few technical difficulties, Kanye West re-released “No More Parties in L.A.” and a snippet of “Real Friends.”

Mere hours after Kim Kardashian promised that Kanye West would start releasing new tracks on Fridays (as he did in the walk-up to 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy), the Yeezus rapper debuted fresh songs. Well… he tried to.

Kanye’s initial tweet promised “No More Parties in L.A.,” featuring Kendrick Lamar and production from Madlib, but the link led to a song called “Real Friends,” with a snippet of “No More Parties in L.A.” at the end. The link was quickly taken down, and West explained on Twitter it was because of a mistaken distortion on the track. True to his perfectionist reputation, West requested that people start ripping the new version instead.

As for “No Parties in L.A,” the snippet of Kendrick’s guest verse sounds just as unimpeachable as the new song he played on The Tonight Show Thursday night.

Combined with the New Years Eve release of “Facts,” these tunes make for more Kanye West music released in the last week than in all of 2015. Sounds like the long-awaited Swish might be imminent. West tweeted back in December that he’s currently finishing it up, but fans will just have to wait and see.
