An alleged thief’s distinctive “Selfie” hat may have led to his capture.
Cops in Massachussetts say 65-year-old James Anderson wore a hat that said “Selfie” on it when he allegedly stole $10,000 worth of gold jewelry from a K-Mart, according to MyFox Boston.
Hours later, cops recognized the “Selfie” hat when they pulled Anderson over at a traffic stop. Cops say they also found wire cutters in Anderson’s car, as well as jewelry with K-Mart price tags. Anderson was arrested and charged with larceny. He was arraigned Friday morning, where a not-guilty plea was entered for him. It was not immediately clear whether he had a lawyer.
