Bill Cosby was charged with sexual assault on Wednesday—and the New York Daily News responded with a compelling cover on Thursday morning.
The 78-year-old actor and comedian was charged in a 2004 incident in which authorities say a woman was drugged and could not offer consent, the first time he faces criminal charges after dozens of women have come forward to accuse him of drugging and sexually assaulting them. The Daily News cover takes the phrase “he said, she said” and applies it to the Cosby situation, writing “she said” more than 50 times, one for each of his female accusers.
The statute of limitations on many of the allegations against Cosby has long passed, and this week’s new charges in Pennsylvania come just days before they were set to expire.
