Bill Cosby was charged Wednesday in Pennsylvania with drugging and sexually assaulting a woman there 12 years ago.
He remains free on $1 million bail, but is facing the prospect of up 10 years in jail. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s office released his mugshot shortly after an arraignment hearing.
Cosby is expected back in court for another hearing Jan. 14. This case is the first time he has faced criminal charges despite decades of allegations from dozens of women. Cosby, 78, was considered a father figure for his role on the television sitcom The Cosby Show.
