An Ohio man was sentenced to 56 years in prison on Monday after pleading no contest to charges that included taping his kindergarten students in the bathroom using a spy camera.
Elliot Gornall, 33, was charged with 181 criminal counts related to child pornography, to which he pleaded no contest in October, the Associated Press reports. He reportedly intends to appeal a judge’s decision to admit evidence found on his computer (including the images of his students), which he says was obtained illegally during a drug-related raid on his home in November 2014. He was indicted on drug charges and for receiving stolen property, as investigators also found more than a dozen pairs of children’s underwear.
