New Chrome Extension Will Protect You From Star Wars Spoilers

1 minute read

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is just days away from its official release, and while reviews are embargoed until early Wednesday morning, the possibility of spoilers has become very, very real. For a dedicated Star Wars fan, the entire Internet suddenly seems booby-trapped with potentially ruinous information.

A new Google Chrome extension is here to help. Force Block promises to analyze web pages and block any that may contain plot spoilers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (with the ability to whitelist certain sites as needed). When such a page is found and blocked, a pop-up message delivers a classic tongue-in-cheek Star Wars reference. Check one out below (another variation: “We stopped one this time, but don’t get cocky, kid!”).

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens Friday. Head here to see (spoiler-free) reviews of the film from Monday night’s world premiere.
