Too Bad This Awesome Bride Eating a Burger in Her Wedding Dress Is Already Taken

There are plenty of great ways for newlyweds to celebrate after the reception, but this bride just outdid everybody by chowing down on a cheeseburger, in her gown, rink-side at a hockey game.

Her name is Erica Skuta and though she lives in New Zealand, she remains a huge fan of her hometown hockey team, the Minnesota Wild. After their wedding reception on Nov. 29, she and husband Lewis Blake caught a game, BuzzFeed reports. Soon enough, she was spotted on the Jumbotron:

“When we got engaged, we both joked how neat it would be to do something a little different and have an after-reception party at a Wild game,” Skuta told BuzzFeed. “When the schedule was released at the start of the season and the game fell on the same day as the wedding, we had to go for it.”

Skuta was careful to keep her dress clean, and you’ll see her asking her new husband to wipe her face for her.

“We’re just two people who enjoy hockey and burgers,” Skuta said.
