The man who allegedly shot and killed three people at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado had been previously accused of raping a woman and beating his wife, according to a report.
Robert Lewis Dear claimed to be religious but frequently sinned, the New York Times reported Tuesday, citing sources who painted him as “deeply disturbed” and occasionally violent.
The 57-year-old North Carolina native is being held without bond on suspicion of first-degree murder for last week’s shooting rampage at a Colorado Springs clinic.
