Stephen Colbert is not impressed by President Obama’s knowledge of Westeros.
For the uninitiated, that’s the home of HBO’s Game of Thrones, where groups of families are fighting for power. Obama recently revealed that he can’t keep track of the show’s characters in an interview for GQ’s“Men of The Year” 20th anniversary issue.
“I have some disturbing news to report about our president,” Colbert said on his show Wednesday night. “I want to talk specifically about his inability to keep track of the conflicts between bloodthirsty leaders in the unstable region of Westeros.”
The issue is that the president can’t always remember the characters’ names.
“My favorite character is probably…the dwarf, what’s his name?” Obama said in the GQ interview. “The problem with Game of Thrones…is that I don’t remember the names of any of the characters.”
“We’re counting on you to bring peace to the seven kingdoms,” Colbert said Wednesday. (Some people may hope Obama tackles the Middle East or the migrant crisis first.) Check out the clip below:
