Being in labor wasn’t going to stop this Georgia mom from completing a college exam. Tommitrise Collins was determined to finish her online psychology test while she prepared to give birth at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon, Ga., on Nov. 12. The 21-year-old told FOX 5 News she could only take the exam on that day.
Her sister, Shanell Brinkley-Chapman, posted about Collins’ dedication on Facebook:
The Middle Georgia State University student told her sister that she was going to attempt the test as long as she wasn’t in too much pain. “It took me 4-5 hours after the opening of the test to try to put the pain to the side and do it so I wouldn’t have to do it later and I could enjoy my newborn,” she said.
Once she started, Collins ended up completing the two-hour exam in about an hour and 30 minutes.
Her sister’s Facebook post has been shared over 14,000 times to date.
